Inserted in the Psalter because it’s a theme that’s common in Scripture-

The covenant relationship between God and His people or in the N.T

Between Christ and His bride the Church.

What it means in my own words?

The King is all-powerful and sovereign and blessed of the Bride is to listen and be faithful to her husband, she is beautiful and her end shall be great.

Notes:

    The majesty, wealth and extent of Christ’s kingdom are described and illustrated to teach the faithful that there is no greater happiness or nothing more desirable than to live under the reign of His Kingdom and be subject to His government. It’s a type of holy divine union of Christ and the Church described.

    King Jesus is excellent and Sovereign v2-3 King Jesus is Victorious v4 -5 King Jesus Reigns forever v6 King Jesus has been set above others v7-9

    LIVE LIKE HIS BRIDE SHOULD v10-12

    Listen to the King not others v10 Honor the King v11-12

    BRING HIM GLORY AS HIS BRIDE v13-15

    Be what you are spotless v13-14 Be joyful in His presence v15

    KING JESUS WILL HAVE CHILDREN v16-17M

    The next generation will do better v16 The King lives, so praise the king v17
