PSALM 47

PRAISE CHRIST THE KING OF ALL

Psalms Setting:
The Psalm was probably written about the same time with the preceding, and relates to the happy state of the Jews when returned to their own land. They renewed their praises and promises of obedienee, and celebrate him for the deliverance they had received. See the introduction to the preceding Psalm. In a spiritual sense, it appears to relate to the calling of the Gentiles to be made partakers of the blessings of the Gospel with the converted Jews. Adam Clark

47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of

How is He King?

He promises to conquer

47:3 He shall subdue Phil 3:21 the people under us, and the nations under our

He promises to do us good

47:4 He shall choose Mt 25:34 1Co 3:22,23 Eph 1:18 1Pe 1:4 our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. P Eph 2:4,5 1Jn 4:9,10

2. PRAISE CHRIST THE KING WHO SPEAKS REIGNS v5- 9

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ because He speaks
