Context This is one of the saddest stories in the whole Bible considering the holiness and happiness of our first parents the grace and favour of God and the peace and beauty of creation.
Purpose
I want to inform you that when Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. His sin spread death throughout all the world, so you will die because you sinned in Adam.
WHY YOU ARE TEMPTED AND SIN, IT CONSQUENCES AND HOW TO
OVERCOME IT
1. FIVE STEPS THAT LEAD YOU TO BE TEMPTED AND SIN
i. FIRSTLY You Doubt God's Word And Allow Satan's Words
To cause unbelief
Gen 2:16-17, 3:1,4-5
From every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat the fruit of it you shall surely die," Gen 2:16-17
Has God Indeed said, 0You shall not eat from every tree of the garden. vi
And the serpent said to the women, .You shall not
surely die.0For God knows that in the day you eat it
your eyes, will be opened, and you will be like God,
knowing good and evil."

Note: An event occurs, You doubt God's Word and so begin to believe
the lie's of Satan
rather than the truth of God.
ii. SECONDLY You Desire In Your Heart What Satan Has Suggested
So when the women saw that the tree was good for food,
that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable
to make one wise.........

0But each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire,
he is dragged away and enticed....

Note: An event occurs, you desire in response to it.
You allou allow your mind to contemplate the
possibility of sin. You agree to sin in your mind,
your mind goes to bed with the desire. Your think
about the adulteress 'beauty in your heart. Frov 6:25
