Context:

Has links with Psalm 56

Form: Similar to Ps 56 in that both begin with identical words. Each are followed by a refrain; v5,11, speak of similar dangers; 56:1,2 -57:3. Expresses the same deep trust in God.

Notes: Calamaties > Lit; It crushes ruins a person, causes great distress which surrounds like a vapour, fog, clouds, darkness i.e distress and perplexity
